So I watch my ghost shrimp eat almost every time I feed them. I love it. I have a 10 gal, and all it has is a bunch of java moss and java fern, 2 cory cats, 5-6 ghost shrimp, and a few rams horn snails. While watching them today, I noticed one had literally turned a deep cobalt blue. I would take a picture if I had a camera to do it with, but I am certain it isn't it's stomach just turning from the food. It looks like its exo-skeleton has blue veins in it almost. One has it very vividly, and another has it a bit more faintly. They are completely transparent otherwise, and are acting normally. I have searched and cannot find anything about this. I am also certain that it isn't developing eggs, as I know what that looks like, and this is throughout the body, tail and all. Ideas?

I need to be certain that the sudden color change isn't caused by some sort of toxin. When humans ingest certain silver compounds they turn blue, so I need to be sure that this is, in fact, a genetic blue, and not an environmental one.

There isn't anything that color in the tank, so that"s out, but would the color have taken this long to come out? I've had them a few months already, and I am certain they were plain when I got them

ive had them turn blueish in my tank a few times
