can i hook a live fish with a pretty big hook and cast it out?ya know and let it swim around and hope a bigger fish eats it? like a live 2-4" shad and just let it swim around

4 blue gills they eat alot and will hand feed immediately after being in the tank.never had them jump but i have a lid covering only half my tank

yeah i have caught big cats, gar and some monster bass that way

I use a rocket bobber with a ice jig with a wax worm for bait. NO split shot
