Blue light for nocturnal fish

I used cabinet LED kitchen light from HD. It is not blue but get the job done for dim look. Marine LED blue light is too dark for my liking.

sounds good guys! the tank is 225 gallons and has a wide footprint and the light would mainly be for my knifefish and bichirs. my larger ornate hides almost all the time.

so its a blue LED light, sounds good I'll have to check it out sometime

Now note that putting the light will not make your ornate come out. It will just allow you to see into the tank. It doesn't really make my fish more active

if you have a canopy I would buy a string of led lights or a rope light (most use led lights). Using a screw in hook on the inside of my hood I put a few strings of led's inside the canopy. With Halloween getting closer stores often have purple lights available. Combined with blue lights the two colors look good together.
