I actually like this blue. I have this and black on a couple tanks.

id go black !!! in my old setup i went what was said to be midnight blue and it did look good ........till i got lights over it .doh!!

Can go wrong with 3d background, but it's not the cheapest so I'd say go with black.

I like black, especially for planted aquariums, but definitely consider what fish you plan to put in there. If it's something with oranges and reds, blue might compliment those colors nicely.
