blue phantom has died

my blue phantom pleco stopped breathing and died before I added the salt the nitrites must have been too much for him he was one of my favorite fish in the tank all there is now is the hatchet fish and one lemon tetra

Sorry for your lost, blue phantom are tuff pleco. Didn't it had some close call before?

What set your nitrites through the roof? Over feeding?
