I wish people can pay a little more attention.^^

I hate all hybrid except flowerhorns. No idea why, just love the look of them.

Yeah, I wish people would pay more attention to. Did I stay you hated flower horns? I was just simply asking if flower horns were hybrids as well.

I can see it as pollution of the hobby when they arent sold as hybrids or look exactly like pure fish

Then that comes down to the sellers who need to be responsible, then secondly the buyer for either not asking enough questions or the lack of research.

That's why I think hybrids should be kept by the breeders and only given out to experienced keepers.

Can not happen, way too distant genetically.

Im going to have to disagree on hybrids ruining the gene pool, first of all the only gene pool that really matters is the wild one, second of all many hybrids couldnt be confused witj pure species. I think the problems we see such as midevils and mixed vieja and such is because of breeding together fisj that are belived by the vreeder to be the same, not intentional hybrids.
Some people have different definitions of flowerhorns, some say a fh is trimac based, some say any hybrid selectively bred, some even say any hybrid. Originaly a flowerhorn had flowers(black plumes) and horn(kok;nuchal hump) but over the many generations of selective breefing and addition of other species, the look has much variance.

+1

& a blue ram x con would look kinda cool but I highly doubt they could breed together...and also, german blue rams don't live very long so most likely the blue ram x con wouldn't either

Like I said before, I don't know jack about flower horns. But isn't a trimac the base of all flower horns?

Agreed.

As for the OP's question, no its not possible. The only SA Cichlid that has ever been confirmed to hybridize with a CA Cichlid is the Festae.

And if you take a look at there family tree, festae are closely related to the centrals. while scientists are always reclassifying and moving stuff around, I think the hybridizations prove it.
