Buyer (You): No one twisted your arm, no gun was held to your head, and you woudnt have lost anything had you decided to pass on that opportunity... However, if you choose to purchase this animal (or any animal of a venomous, agressive, dangerous manor), then responsibility and "Blame" can be rightfully placed on you. You chose the animal, you paid for the animal, you brought the animal home, you worked to keep the animal alive and healthy.... So if tragedy hit... "You" is what will come up in the questioning - Not the divers/collectors, not the importers/exporters, and as long as it was legal, not the suppliers/LFS... Just you. "

Yes I agree as long as this "You" has a clue as to what they are looking to purchase. Many time I have seen the BO for sale and a guy ready to buy it on first sight. The LFS guy hadn't said anything about it being deadly then as he is bagging it I would ask the buyer if he knows anything about the BO and they usually say no it's just cool looking. After I tell them it can kill him they usually thank me for the info and then don't buy it.

One time I did this the LFS employee actaully kicked me out of the store for blowing his sale.

This is why the LFS is and will always be the first party to be held responsible for problems associated with these.

Education is the key to safety. As we all know too many people buy things on an impulse and most general public couldn't even tell you what type of fish was in their tanks. I agree that LFS should not carry these animals due to the danger of their care. The above post is a great example of such reason behind not letting just anyone sell them. I can understand the want for a hobbiest to want to keep them but they should have to get them from the level before the LFS and special order them, that way only those who know of the BO in the first place could get them.

Nothing like that because their venom isn't fatal. The Blue Ring Octo's venom will shut down your neurological system and you will die. I suggest reading a little bit.

They can puncture the bag and kill you before you even get the bag in the cube. The last site you see is the stupid 12 gal tank.

I'll post pics of the one for my 20 gal tank. He won't even let me clean the tank, I can't get it away from the top. I am terrified.
