Was just browsing the internet and found a picture of the Malayan Blue Coral Snake.

Absolutely gorgeous deep blue...

So, if I wanted a blue (NON-venomous) snake, which ones are out there that have the most stunning/ deep-blue coloration? Is there any species that comes close to that of the Blue Coral snake? Blue is one of my favorite colors, and after I move I'll need to build-up my reptile collection again.

I'm not sure but I know of a few garter snakes that have nice blue coloration. Here's a pic of a San Francisco Garter Snake with some nice blue to it.

I'd say blue garter too, as the best choice.

i've actually seen one of these snakes in the wild [as wild as you can get in singapore] and the blue colouring wasnt that intense. the red definitely was though.

Those are beautiful!!!

last year i caught a black racer sub sp. that had an awesome robins egg blue belly

If you happened to have about $10,000 just sittin' around, you could pick up a blue chondro! :naughty:

You also have blue anoles, blue tree monitors, and arboreal alligator lizards.

For most blue herps, expect to lighten your wallet by perhaps a few pounds ;)

I think there are other blue garter variants but I can't think of any off the top of my head...and varanio is correct, the SF garter is very threatened. There are blue racers but they're not exactly bright blue. And speaking of protected there's the eastern indigo which are really more black than blue but damned gorgeous.
