I've caught regular old eastern garters up in CT that had some blue to them, and also with almost neon yellow stripes blending with neon green between the stripes rather than the usual normal black with yellow stripes that you commonly find. The garter snake is another one of those very common herps that would doubtless be in demand if it were a rare species. Take common snapping turtles. Extremely common, but if they weren't everyone would want one - talk about ]\/[onster
