Anyone ever keep one? Tips? Care?

Blue tailed skink? Are you a hillbilly or something? ;)

I'm assuming you mean our native Fived-lined Skink?
I was at work and uber busy. Stupid brain fart. U knew what I ment. Lol. Mind changing my title?

Hello; Whatever you choose to call them, I have dozens living around and in my house. Earlier this warm season there were many small ones of about two inches or less. I recently released one that had gotten into a plastic container and could not climb out. I considered setting up a small tank for it, but do not really know much about keeping them in captivity. Any input will be of interest.

Hence this thread. Just caught one at work yesterday. Pretty rare right around me and uncommon at my work. Couldnt resist

Their cool little guys, I caught a few when I was in winterhaven a couple months ago.

Be prepared for empty tank syndrome if u give them deep substrate. Holy cow. Gave a nice enclosure and it disappeared. About three inches into substrate

Hello; I was taking a break the other warm morning on my back porch. A medium sized skink was actively searching the area. It climed up one of those cement picnic benches I have. After searching the bench it appeared to want down but seemed not willing to climb back under the horozontal surface. The seat is near a metal rail that is about two inches higher and maybe three inches away from the seat. After a while the skink jumped the gap to the metal rail. Untill that point I was not aware that they can jump so well.
