Blue Texas cichlid and JD

Here's a dumb question if the JD is a male could they possibly pair? Or that's not how it works with JD and Texas..bc they are suspiciously together 24/7 lol
Yes, they could potentially pair off. I had to separate my old carpintis male and female salvini due to trying to pair up. Also had a female vieja synspilum try getting my male parachromis multifaciatus attention but didn't work, he ignored her lol

For the most part all centrals can breed with each other. This is what created the whole Flowerhorn industry. Get this trait from one fish, another from a different fish, mix it together and see what you get. For the most part I dislike Flowerhorns. The over exaggeration of the humps to a point it seems the fish can't even swim properly.
Now with South American fish this is a different story. They typically can only breed with the same kind of fish. There are a few that can cross bread with centrals. Festae for example. Otherwise we would see all over the internet and the YouTubes crazy crosses like Oscar and anything you could think of, discus and red devils etc etc.
