I am having a problem with one of my Blue Trees. She refuses to eat anything except for rodents. I have offered her Dubia roaches, Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, Crickets, Grasshopper, Superworms, and Mealworms. All she will eat is rodents. She has been like this since i got her a couple months ago.

Anybody have tips on getting her to eat? I made sure the temps and humidity were good so its not husbandry. Can she just be a picky eater?

Ahh....expensive tastes! Sounds like she got a little too addicted to mice and not inverts when she was young. You can try scenting the insects like Wigggles said but you might have to starve her for a few days fo see if that sparks her interest.

I just saw your ad on Fauna.....didn't know you had a pair of blues. Lucky guy!

Get her riled up with a rodent, and shove a roach in her face. Once you've switched on a food response it can be hard to turn off.

I will try the scenting with mice and what Sean said. I hope she takes it, because I don't want to feed all rodents.
