Blue Zebra's - Metriaclima estherae

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been looking to buy some metriaclima estherae mino reefs. The ones I have my males are pearlish with a slight blue tint and my females are red. I want the darker blue (grayish with) the vert. bars on them. I can't find them around Des moines. They don't change from blue to red, and I don't think there are blue females. bshow

Metriaclima estherae females are never blue but the males can be. If both females and males are blue then we are talking about metriaclima callainos.
Good luck and I look forward to pictures.

I'd say yes. The fish in my avatar is a callainos as well. Blue male metriaclima estherae are not as bright blue, at least that is what I hear, but I have never actually seen one. All I ever come across is M. callainos

Bshow, I hope you don't mind me putting up these pics... I'm trying to help figure this out too :)
does my male blue look like a metriaclima estherae? I'm confused about his mouth shape it seems a little different than most estherae I've seen...
