Its all about the money. Albinos used to be a rare thing then they got mass bread. so now there a dime a dozen. add some color that is cool and someone will think its new and pay 15 bucks for a 5 dollar fish.
And yes its name is "pig" he eats and eats but never seems to grow at all. His tank mate "boar" is was actually almost half an inch shorter then him 2 months ago hes is now almost half an inch longer.

pigs appetite has died down alot and the scaring on his fins has turned an almost solid black now. Will get a good pic the next time im home during the day
Never was a victim of the dyed Oscars, but I did buy a group of "Blue Skirt Tetras" when I was younger. Funny how when these fish are first bought they will be the main attraction of a tank, but quickly become a drab eye sore with half of them dead within a month or so while their non naturally colored counter parts do just fine.
yah stoped into the lfs i got pig from tonight. There are two still there from his group just as scarred as him crammed in a corner tank with no info written on the tank. I feel bad for then but after watching and seeing the problems pig has i couldn't try to bring them home.
