I was at the LFS today and they had only one left , they said it was very rare and had very prominent vertical stripes from front to back but it is only about 1 inch in size but they said will show colors of bluish to plum color when it matures . Was wondering if anyone has these and I would like to see some pics if you have them and are they really that rare? Thanks

Odds are 1000 to 1 that it is a dyed fish.

Or a turquoise severum with a fancy name. Some of them do show blue striation in the cheeks and face at a small size.

Never listen to an LFS when they tell you something is extremely rare -- they're just justifying charging you way too much money for something that isn't worth that much money, IMO.

I would agree. I never heard of a Blueberry Severum. Go back to the store and take a picture.

+1 lfs have a reputation for making up new fancy names for fish and saying how super rare they are to get your cash.

Yes Rapps agrees and the fish is only about an inch and shows no sign of blue but told me it develops it with maturity yeah what a scam!!!!!!!

My lfs is selling something called a "raspberry" severum. And this lfs is well known and has a excellent reputation! Don't blame the fish store, blame the wholesalers. This is the name the fishstore has on their wholesale list. This is the name they order it by so this is the name the store sells it by.
