wow all the negative comments are coming from people that recently joined the site or have very very few post,

Having high post counts or longer join date doesn't mean you are knowledgeable about the subject matter. This topic is about the online breeder experience. I joined the forum last year n yes my experience was true, not made up or exaggerated. Even eddie admitted the picture was wrong and had been fixed.

A buddy and I have been to Eddies several times to buy fish I had an issue once and Eddie promptly replaced the fish in question, in my opinion a knowledgeable, great guy and Id never hesitate to buy from him again, on a side note the last time we were at his house he took us to Rusty Wessels house Rusty is also a great guy.

If I were you I would go with jeff rapps at tangledupincichlids.com. I've ordered from almost every vendor on the east coast and he's the only one I have no complaints with. Never had a dead fish or a sick fish and he's quick about everything to make it a great experience... I've been sent the wrong fish, wrong sizes or promised a deal on my next order which is bs from other vendors.

Go with RAPPS!!!!

Reporting back...

My grade is a C+
Explanation below

I received the box and all the fist were doing fine, however one Vc-10 didn’t make it.. (it was an additional free however). The fish are GOOD and HEALTHY.
What really upsets me is he doesn't keep his stock list up to date on the web.
Of my order 4 fish weren't shipped however WERE PROMPTLY REFUNDED on my CC.
1 rhamp
3 Malawi trout

The reason I picked him was for the combination of fish I could order at once. Had I known some of the fish I wouldn’t get on this order I may have choose a different provider. Had he contacted me I probably would have ordered more VC-10's to make up the short fall of fish and picked up some Linni. No response to an email written 2 days later, however I answered my own question by logging onto my account that showed the refunded fish.

In the future I would def give him a call to make sure they actually have what they say.

Repeat business at this point is a toss up.

So basically he shipped out even though he didn't have some fish you ordered? If so, that's an F in my book. It wasn't your fault if the stock list isn't up to date. He should have put the order on hold and contact you about the incomplete order. What if you really wanted the rhamp and trout and the rest of the fish are just 'filler'?

Well reading this thread, I'm hoping my experience goes better... Here in a couple weeks when my tank is cycled I plan on driving down to his retail location in Jeffersonville, since it's only a little over an hour from me... Would rather pick my fish in person and avoid shipping costs...
Will report back with my results... timeline may vary based on tank cycling and work schedule...
