Well I'm sure some of you have seen my little side comments around the site about loseing all of my big fish out of the 300g. General was sick, died over night and polluted the entire tank, killing my 3 big O's and my Jag...
I just bought a small Albino Tiger Oscar to replace Boss, I'm looking for some Longfin Os in the area to replace Bo, and Miles has a 16" TSN I'm going to pick up next week...
So it was horrible loseing the fish that kept me company and helped me through college while I was 300miles away from home, but atleast things are starting to get pieced together again...
 
Hey!! tell me about the gill curl, u say your cat outgrew that? My RTC is starting to get that,( he's about 5-6") I thought that was some type of defect I was stuck with. He also gets some whiteness above 1 of his eyes, but that seems to go away after a full shed.
 
The gill curl starts when the cat is in bad water conditions, or extream stress... I got mine with it, as the person I got it from had it in bad water conditions.
I reversed it by placing the RTC in an over filtered tank, with lots of water changes and high quality, varying, food.
It slowly began to reverse its self and is now completely gone.

So, do lots of water changes. What size tank is it in and what kind of filtration are you running on it?
