Planted tanks are alot of fun IMO but they require patience and work. Have you considered CO2? Lighting? Filtration.(im to lazy to scroll up and check on it)

I am thinking about making a similar cube soon.

I'm thinking about doing DIY CO2 with a 2 liter bottle (already silicone the air line tubing to a cap) But for the moment I'm dosing with Excel 1 ml every morning. Seems to be getting me a lot of growth from my plants, 4 out of 5 plants already have noticeable growth so I just might wait and save for a semi automatic system..

I have a Coralife 12" fixture with (2) 18 watt 10,000*K bulbs. Filter is an AquaClear 50 on minimal flow that still gets me over 10x turn over per hour.

I'm trying to find a 6,700*k 10 watt one that'll fit but I can't find them. Anyone know?

Looks good, but just watch out for the shrimp. The Ghost shrimp will most likely end up killing the RCS.

Yeah these Ghost Shrimps are nuts... lol All has been well for the past few days, 2 Cherry Shrimp showed up. So now the livestock is (8) Neons (1) Betta (1) Blue German Ram (4) Ghost Shrimp (2) Cherry Shrimp and a Trapdoor snail...

That's pretty cool!! Doesn't it make you want to go bigger?!!

Yeah, I've got a 90 gallon tank I bought but haven't had time to set it up due to money and space restrictions.... However once I have those things I'll be doing a 90g planted Discus tank.

I'll update later with the new scape

So while Northern New Jersey got rocked by a mini blizzard I was rescaping my tank because all my classes were canceled for the day.

Didn't do anything too crazy except up root all the plants, tank out all the rocks and attach this moss (idk what it is) to the wood which, IMO is in a better position, especially with the mystery moss attached to it. Did a little rock readjustment and put the plants in the right spot.

Lemme know what you guys think.

It's not much but I think I've got it where I want it now and with all the trimming made for a some what cleaner look for the most part...

I'm getting a bunch of little sprouts on this plant, I have no idea what it is though. ID anyone?? Almost all the little pieces have at least 3 new sprouts on it.

This Narrow Leaf Chain Sword is also growing pretty nicely.

This Bronze Wendtii is going really nice, I decided to shake off all the melted leaves and pull off any with holes to promote new growth. As of right now I'm seeing noticeable leaf growth and it has even spread a leafed root 2 inches away from the main plant...

I'm not sure what this plant is but I kinda have a feeling it's going to die for some reason... It's hard to prune the dead leafs off and it has weird roots...

Mystery Moss... ID anyone? lol Tiny little German Blue Ram

And of course a few Neons... lol

I'm thinking about setting up some kind of pressurized CO2 system with a paintball canister... Not sure it'll be worth it though... Any thoughts?

Comments please! Good or bad, idc lol

Thanks guys,
-Brian
