and i'm not impressed by this post, i am very into cars and have a few but i know to do my fast driving on the track, endangering lives, and illegal activity's aren't very mature or that much better than hitting an animal.
what if you hit a minivan and kill an entire family but you manage to survive, V.s oh shoot i hit a deer. my 2 cents...
If you don't know how to drive then you shouldn't be on the road. Accidents in our country are mostly caused by: drunk drivers, minibus taxis, trucks carrying heavy loads that don't bother to stop at red lights and dumb drivers that bought their licence and don't know simple road signs

. Our racing club does street racing in abandoned streets in industrial areas where the factories have closed down. No other people on the road as it's closed off.
We also do drag racing on drag strips or raceways, not on public roads

. I also seriously doubt that whole families in minivans would be driving around at 01:00 in the morning in South Africa, as you have a much better chance of being carjacked than being in a car accident. Here SLOW DRIVING = ROAD RAGE or CARJACKING. My friend was actually beaten up coz the guy driving behind him thought he was driving too slow

. I have personally never caused an accident or driven over an animal. I have done an advanced driving course and I only drive faster late at night when the road is open. If I see another car I slack down

. And not all "street racing" is illegal. If it is done in the proper LEGAL way it can be an awesome display of driving skill. More stuff like this should be organised so that people can race in a legal way and not on the streets. I have never seen or done the illegal kind and I doubt that it even exists here.
I agree that you shouldn't race around like a maniac in the streets, but driving like an old granny can also cause an accident. Maybe I should have explained what I meant a bit better. My bad...
