he wont get used to biting.
dont bother with gloves he will get used to them then when u do handle with ungloved hands he will wonder what they r.
just make sure u always wash ur hands before and after. i wash my hands between handling each snake.

i think with female the have to b 1kg at least. im not sure about mating tbh as its not something i dabble in, especially with ball pythons lol.
but i do believe it is at 1kg and 3ft long. although weight is more important.
ur male is still only a baby right?

there is a rule of 3 (not sure if this only apllied to corns but i think its a good rule for smaller snakes) 3 years old, 3 ft long and 300g...but the weight is applied only to corns.
if u mate too young then the eggs can block up the female and kill her. apparently quite common in BPs especially. the males r sexually mature before the females, which then puts her in danger.
