why do you attack and insult me?
I just would like to know. Someone wrote me the following:

"As you might have noticed Americans get very defensive about any unkind comments regarding the US. Too many are very weak minded and overly patriotic, believing we can do no wrong and are still number one in all areas.

Darious was a previous member from Germany that would ask contoversial questions just to tell people how backward they and their country were.

Do you speak English or are using a translation program? A program could give more literal translations then intended. An incomplete understanding of a language could do this as well.

Personally not offended by your posts, just letting you know what you're facing from others. I'm more aware of world and local events than many on here. They know only what they are told to know.

Have a nice day,
Alan"

and i wonder if that fits for you too? maybe its a cultural misunderstanding. Either way i would be happy if you could show some more intelligent behavior towars me and stop to behave in such a uncivilized and stupid manner.

How would Akuma know about Darius since he joined 5 months after Darius's last post? Hmmm.

Pretty funny PM too.

Ha.

Back to the original subject.

My father is an upper level manager at Boeing who deals specifically with the composite materials the 787 is made of. One engineering uncle of mine has several patents out that deal with the 787 (the toilets specifically, ha), while another uncle is also an engineer at Boeing. I've got way more information about the goings on of the 787 than any foreign anecdotal evidence. Boeing is doing fine. Great actually. They're upset about the delays and electrical/battery issues obviously, but with the rocketing costs of fuels composite commercial jetliners are the future. Just check out their stock prices. Up $33 a share in the last 6 months. If shareholders were worried about all this Asian "doom and gloom" Darius is posting they sure aren't showing it.

Most of the problems boeing has had lately are actually due to subcontractor components, which boeing has little quality control over. Fortunately none of the components involved with these latest incidents were from my company.

It boils down to "things happen". When you are one of, if not, the largest aircraft manufacturer in the world, you're going to have an issue every now and then. percentage wise, they are doing pretty darn good with safety records on aircraft. It's unfortunate that people died in the crash, but there is always an inherent risk in anything you do; flying, driving, taking the bus, walking.......

Exactly, in fact many car companies will knowingly put out a product with a known possible defect because it's cheaper to do a recall later then to stop selling their product. Most times this isn't a big issue but remember how many people died when their explorers flipped before ford admitted they knew about the problem? Automobiles just don't get the same amount of press over an incident that an aircraft does.

From what you quoted, he is quoting someone talking about darius. He didn't talk about darius himself.

Just making an observation. I don't know if he knows who dar is

And is that a pm from akuma you are quoting?

The plane that crashed was a 777, not the 787 like Akuma posted about. There have been no 787 crashes.

Yes it is. And I really don't know what to make of it or who is quoting whom.
