bogwood staining

Question, I have introduced bogwood from Thailand into my tank , after rinsing as recommended the water is still brownish. Any reason for concern, the Pirahna do not seem to mind at this point?

A true Amazon bogwood tank will have a amber color to it. If you look at any realistic bogwood tanks there is a diffenent light amber color to the water as it should be with a acid 6.5+ph. If you looking for a piece bogwood just for looks and your not trying to create that enviroment then boil it.

Yeah, all my tanks with bogwood have unboiled bogwood, as the water looks much more natural (to me).
