It will happen. Males do tend to be more territorial but there is no damage really done unless the tank is plainly barebottom without too many refuge.

Same here. They do grow very slowly.

Their colors are not as bright as the blue rams.:) Yours certainly have colored up though.
 
I have one, great fish great color. Seems to be a whimp, always hiding and moving to the duller side of my tank, but really will stands its ground to any fish in my tank. Beautiful color and very distinct personality. I always watch them:popcorn:
