when she started beating him that was it she was on borrowed time in my tank

iv got a female for him just need to grow it to size lol

it was no real loss as she was never staying from day1

but till i get some of the fry to grow i have a very empty looking big tank in my living room

I love seeing other people's eggs lol. My convicts are on their 4th brood now. They bred just 3 days after me moving them from my 63l to the 126l, unbelievable creatures!!They've only been in the 126l since the 7th May and they have just laid #4

anyway u proly dont even need that female jag anyway especially if she is homozygous.


just remeber to keep some female fry from the batch and breed them with pops.

I no longer have a breeding pair oif Jags
the male beat the female half to death, THEN she
started beating him and took over the tank!

so that = SHE IS GONE. !. !. !. !........

now all I have is dad and him little bunch of fry


and still in the 29G there are some of the original fry,
some are about an inch now

same happened here, male ate all the babies, then beat the female up, she didnt last much longer after that, now i have no female..ok..wel..it was almost the same..

congrats on the fry though! looks like they're growing fast!

oh they are so awesome.. my first time seeing tiny baby jags you can see.. wow!

My 6" mom and dad are still with their frie, about 50-60 left. The babies are approaching a 1/2" now. They are all in a 38g long. I had to move them from a 120g homing with 4 larger Festae that ate a couple hundred of their frie within the first week.

really nice to see them jags ares wimming and healthy hopefully get mine to that stage without any major upsets,still hoping you will have a spare yellow for us when there ready if we get ours to a tranportable size do you want any of ours for breeding? (as there not related)
