i can imagine that male, in a few years time, if you keep him with your ownership, he will be a BRUTE!! im sure he'll turn out like all the other big cichlids you have!

You've got that right, I put 1 Canadian $ (not that it's worth much right now) on it being 14"+ by year end. He must have a secret sauce he's using to grow his fish abnormally fast.

That a really great looking pair of Dovii. I hope my male looks like yours too. I just purchased mine about a month ago from Rapps. I will post some pics just as soon as he grows some more.

They have bred once in the LFS in a 20g. I will have to see if I can get them really big by the end of this year.
