How would you decorate this tank? 300 gal thats about 7.5 feet long.

It has 2 silver Aros (1 11" 1 24") a clown knife (12") an albino channel cat (12") a jag (12") an oscar (10") and an algae eater. Im open to suggestions but i would like to incorporate a hiding spot for the clown knife that is "jag proof" ( he doesnt hurt any of the fish, just likes to dig) Thanks in advance!

IMO your tank is full enough those fish are still growin they will need all the room you can provide . some times look's are secondary, easy to " maintain'' is alway's best but it's your tank you gotta look at it day in and day out so maybe some drift wood and see about a ceramic pot for your clown knife. turn the pot so the opening is pointed to the ground mark an opening.ifyou have the mean's a wet saw for tile and stone work will do ! if not seek out a tile warehouse or masonary yard they should have one and see maybe they will cut it for you for a few dollar's or no charge at all. if you can walk parshally or totally around your tank you mite want to put the decor in the middle so the fish can loop the tank make the most of the over all length some fish love to glide throught the water ex: oscar's. best of luck with your decission. by the way I love the tank the way the pic show's it very very nice .. :clap

maybe a few plants would add some thing. we built a tower of rocks in the 210 to provide hiding places for our bichirs and BGK.

I tried plants, they looked good, but the fish like to rearrange the tank to their likings. The jag LOVES to dig so i think plants are out of the question:(

hmmmm, some type of background would really help. You could maybe try going with a certain theme to the tank with certain decorations. Like the ancient roman ruins theme, orrrrrrr, action figures to decorate it.

Ive thought about using a background, but the tank is the first thing you see when you walk in my door, and it is also easily viewed from the other side as well. I like seeing the fish when i come home and i like to lay on the couch and watch them so i dont think i can use a background. It sucks because it makes it hard to take good pictures without a background.

hmmmm, how about the action figure theme then. I think that would be awesome. You could silicone little army men to the sides, and create a little battle with a fort in the middle or something. That would look pretty cool.

Ill take that channel cat off ya hands  thatd certainly change the look.
