Boring

My plan is a jd,convict, jaguar,gt and one more fish in my 125g. Had this stock before and loved it. just not sure on what kind of fish to go with them yet. Maybe Oscar?

don't get me wrong Africans are nice and for me easier to maintain. This is just my experience with them. When I went from my first tank a community tank with live plants to African Chichlids I loved it. Fast moving and lots of color. After the Africans I switched to new world cichlids and I was hooked. I had to change back to Africans in my 125g because of lack of time (baby/work). Winter time is my slow time with work and that is when I miss the new world cichlids the most. My son just turned two so in his 55g in his room I'm starting a new batch of new world cichlids :)

ha ha alright. Seems there's a lot to learn with africans too.

I wouldn't add an Oscar to that tank, if anything; id swap the jaguar out for the Oscar in his stead

What have you guys experienced in terms of non-cichlid fish with personality? For me, I've kept sororities of female bettas. They're pretty funny, interactive and follow you around. Single male bettas can be this was as well. In the 29g in my sig, I've got 6 silver hatchets, 7 celestial pearl danios, 7 julli corys and an angel. The CPDs sworm the glass to see you and the hatchets get all excited and bob around. If you put you arm in the tank for maintenance the goofy hatchets will nibble at your arm hair. You just have to be careful because they'll fly out of the tank and you wind up picking them up off the floor like quarters. Have to have a full hood on the tank.

I also like goldfish for personality.

mt first tank was community with a goldfish. He was also pretty cool. The other tank mates (smaller fish) were kinda boring. The frogs I had in there were also cool. I had that goldfish for about 5 years

Had a Australian gudgen don't know the proper name, it maxed out at about 6 inch, personality wise it would give a oscar a run for it's money
