Hey mike, you think those Borneo goonch could withstand higher temps? Like 78-80? Or even a rutlius would be able to? I'd LOVE a goonch but not gonna get one till I know it'll thrive under my care. If I need to wait, like I decided w/ atf (until I get a conductivity probe.. muahaha) I will.

A neat tank would be goonch and a bunch of hill stream loaches, they may fall under the category of "too small to bother with" and they like similar params, including flow flat rocks and that temp range. They'd make good glass and rock cleaners lol and they're profile is very small, I currently keep one with a orino pbass, albino Senegal bichir, and striped Raphael cat w/o issues a month in

Rutilus and lica are both tropical 78-80 will be perfectly fine. They do favor fast currents with high oxygen contents though.

Nice, was just making sure that wasn't a tad too high, I keep some pretty heavy flow spots in my tank my bichirs and others don't really hang out in I feel will be perfect for a goonch to claim. Does this mean your getting lica in? That would be awesome, are you selling any?

Matt's the one to talk to about that. I'm getting mine from him. I think he's getting in like three of them.

This is getting really off topic so I'm gonna split this discussion off.

Posted before I realized this got split off haha sounds sort of silly now its out of the other thread, sorry rob. I bet they're all spoken for by now then just wanted to make sure he wasn't getting a bunch, what size is he expecting rob? I'd love to see a similar size to wes' rutlius to come in, I'll for sure be subbing to your growout threads very intrigued by Lica

Oxygen shouldn't be an issue in my tanks, I run a power head and air pump, along with an HOB AC 110. Going to be adding either a canister or a sump soon (if I can figure out how to use the space I have, my tank is on a very sturdy desk w/ a painted stone top so not much room underneath) so I'll then already have a seeded canister or sump for my build in the spring.

Add me to that list as well! I'm in the same boat as the OP.

I already started a thread earlier but still no hits yet, but can you tell me what kind these are that my lfs got in a few days ago?
