Borneo goonch?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
But anyone with any interest in a Borneo please PM me so I can have an idea of how many reserves. Once the fish come in I will Identify them and anyone interested in one will be given priority for one in order of PMs received. Thanks in advance.

That would be pretty cool if many come in I just wouldn't be able to take any if they were over like 6 inch, looks like I'll be asking my girl to get me an early Xmas present (she supports my crazy fishkeeping stuff lol) if they come in haha

Theoretically, since Borneo is further south then Thailand most likely resulting in warmer waters, wouldn't Lica be better for tropical tanks then Rutlius? Possibly resulting in a faster grow ratee or maybe even aggression level?

I do not have enough behavioral information to give a 100% answer. Each seem to be at home in the tropical temperatures :) its the same basic climate. follow the oxygen and water flow rule of thumb. if size will be a issue id recommend rutilus as borneo will probably be at least 9 inches. Rutilus are slower growing with a pretty friendly temperament.

Well yes I was just tossing a theory that lica may be more aggressive for those reasons, you'll have to fill us in on its true temperament when you get yours in. If I end up waiting till my build is done a 9 incher would be easy, but either way I have a feeling I'm going rutlius. I really hope it doesn't end up having a taste for bichir
