It's a sporting event, I watched espn this morning, got in my car and listened to sports talk, read espn.com as I waited to start work. Watched golf and basketball over the weekend and had no idea. Who's tuning into this? What's the target market?

Atleast there were cameras there I guess

I'm tuned in 24/7 too and didn't know it was today. I'll be honest and say this is the first i've heard of the event I don't follow running and been west coast my whole life.

My wife is a runner, she has a half marathon this upcoming Sunday but I've never heard her speak of it either.

Saw this on TV in burger king, almost could not believe it. Terrible.
 
Side note, if anyone finds the discussion like Eddie and are having offensive please let me know and I will happily clean it up.

I just go into "what would make someone do this" mode when things like this happen and find myself trying answer questions.

Oh good point, I don't want to ruffle any feathers either. I feel terrible for anyone effected, I hear it's 110 injured and one of the deceased was an 8 year old boy (my kids 8). I just like to analyze these kind of events for motives. Too much CSI, law and order, bone etc.

I'm the exact same way and know what you mean. Just thought I should mention it, people don't always speak up if a mods involved so I offered it up.

I feel terrible for everyone involved too. News just said the casualties are up to three now. Yes one was an 8 year old boy and another an elderly woman.
