Both Kelberi showing signs of HITH...Help from C.E needed.

Yes, but IME, larger bass (after cured) will still have the indentation of where the HITH was.....depending on how bad the case was.
 
Seriously takes the whole out??? Who causes this and why only bigger bass get it? I know what can prevent it obviously but what is really happening when it does

There are still a lot of debating on what causes HITH/HLLE. Carbon has always been my first response for the first step of curing it.
 
I have issues of hith with my big azuls. Id say it's diet, water quality and stress.

My orinos are punks. They eat mainly mp. And moving was hard for em.

You can stop hole in the head with metro x I believe it's called. The scars on the other hand will not go away. This is very common in oscars. A lot of clean water and good diet helps prevent it also salt is good using the metro x stuff occasion to medicate just to make sure. I like to medicate my fish every now and then. I also treat prazi pro and ick treat both good for internal parasites which u can see till sometimes too late.

Check out the Disease Forum Sticky on HITH. Very good info. First hand, it does not only affect large PB. It could start at as small as 4". You have a very short time to fix it because damage only gets worse if left. My experience with HITH and fix is documented in Hulon's Ultimate Filter thread. Food->Fish Load->Water Quality
