apple snails are cheap and effective i gotta 4 inch pictus catfish in my 30 gallon tank and he is my sanitation dept. crystal clear water. god bless him
I ended up getting a synodontis cat (cocko or decorated, i am not sure) and an orange seam pleco. better to add slowly than quick. i think some snails and maybe some loaches are in order maybe, we'll see how she goes.
i once had a farowella to go with my discus, i don't know if it was sick or what but it lasted like 2 days and i came home from work and it was dead. it wasn't very much more active when it was alive...
i have never kept catfish before, how big will a pictus cat or a shovelnose get?, would a bristlenose pl*co or a clown pleco be appropriate? thanks in advance for all the advice.

the clown is n o good, they stay under 2 inches-i've had two clown for 4 years, they're the same size as when I bought em. For a good, cheap one, try a leopard pleco.
