Royal Plecos don't really clean though, I think a couple of loachs is the way to go.
 
yea a syno would be cool but if you listened your already more than full, a syno cat wont help really with the clean up as it will poop alot

:iagree:I have one striped in both my 55's and they do a great job but you don't see much of them with the lights on, with dim lights (the light from the tv seems to work well) you will see them come out and run the tank looking for food and swimming around but in the day they pretty well stay hidden
But like stated with the jd your going to be pushing it in a 55 to keep other fish with it , just the jd and a raphael could work as long as you have lots of caves so they don't fight over the same one. I may be wrong but I thought Bala Sharks got fairly large so you may want to scrap them from the list.
