2 days ago my 3 piranhas which i planned to sell very soon due to tank size, killed one of the piranhas. so i took the 2 and sold them to a LPS for some credit. i didn't know what i wanted so i browsed the store and saw baby silver arros for $20. i jumped on it and brought it home. hes all by himself in my 29 gal and hes mostly chilling. hes just cruising at the top, all around the tank. the only problem is that i have not seen him eat yet. i put a little bit of food in each day. i have veggie flakes and live blood worms. i also have brine but idk if he will eat that. any suggestions on how to get him to eat? is this a common problem? any other foods?

How small.....does he still have an egg sac. If yes then they will survive on that for a while. If no then it may take a few days for him to settle in. I assume your water quality is good. My ARO did not eat for almost a week when I got him but he was a larger fish. After that period he has been eating fine

i mean hes really small. like 2-3 inches. i should put pics up. i will tomorrow. idk if he could fit cricket in his mouth. how long will it take for him to get HUGE? i'll keep him in the 29 gal until hes like maybe 4-5 inches, then i'll either move him up to the 35 gal or the 75 gal. i can't house him forever but i'll have him for a while.

mollies seem too big.. try guppies or smaller crickets
well i bought some ghost shrimp once for my sting ray, and a little feeder molly or guppy (idk what it is) slipped in and it reproduced like 20 times. i took most of them out, but there are some small ones in there. i took the baby feeders and threw them in.

make sure there is very little water current as that seems to keep them stressed when there that small
yeah i have a quiet flow filter so the water doesn't drop down at 100% full force when it hits the surface. there is some current though cause i notice that if he swim under it, it moves him a little bit.
