Bought a used FX5, whats missing?

Don't use those clips with Vinyl tubing. The tubing will kink. You don't need any clips with that output.

Just use some 90* fittings for the intake. The strainer has two small suction cups. if you go to FluvalParts.com you should be able to find everything you need.

You could double the intake by using two of these neat things.

3/4" tubing, Fx5 has 1" but you can split the 1" into two 3/4" tubing.

ok so I decided to go with this for my return:

would be cheapest over buying a clip and 90* pvc

then for intake I guess it would be easiest to just get one fuval clip and the suction cups for the strainer.

It just sucks to pay 2x shipping because I cant find all the parts and the return from the same store.

if I just made a return out of pvc should I use 1" and just slip and clamp on the line or do I need some sort of fitting? special glue?

or if I went with one of those j shaped tubes, but I can't find one in 1" only 3/4"!

this is really pissing me off.
I just want this as simple as possible. I don't like ordering things that might not fit.

I really close to just selling this whole mess to some Mcguyver.

ok went into the pump and found some fine sand grit, rinsed it all off and cleaned it up with a old toothbrush, looks like theres no dammage.

The o ring that goes betewwn the impeller and the motor looks alittle loose but I got it centered on there pretty good.

Is it supposed to be sandwiched between the two on just sit on the outside of the two?
maybe I should put some vassoline on the seal?
