How do you afford that? I bought 20 guppies today from a local breeder and the pike characin ate 2 so far. He’s only 5” so that was a very large meal. Hoping to wean him from guppies to worms.
In my area the feeders are 14 cents each.
so that helps. That and I meal plan for myself so extra money can go towards fish. Ive tried breeding guppies but they take too long to get to the right size.

That is awesome that he is eating two so far. That will help. If you have luck getting him onto worms share your technique, mine just sit and watch them until they fall to the bottom of the tank. once in a while mine will eat a tiny amount of blood worms.
I’ll need to find an LFS selling decent quality feeders. Most places I go to sell rosy reds which are trash. Fortunately, I’m going to all the local LFS Monday to show someone around so I’ll ask the owners about bulk guppies.
And if I can get him on worms I’ll let you know how. It’ll be hard, as he went from Oct 31 till now showing almost no interest in food until I tossed guppies in.
Likewise. I am struggling currently to find a good, decently priced source of feeders.
Have you tried crickets? You would think a juvinile topwater speices of fish wouldn't pass up a meaty bug. Just make sure you gut load them before feeding
