Bowfin Developement

I recieved three from the same person and mine eat anything they can chew or swallow and have doubled their size in the same amount of time. I've never kept this species before and have wanted too so i couldnt pass up a chance for getting some for just the cost of USPS shipping.

So far i havent seen any signs of aggression in mine and i'll probably hold onto to all of them until they start to get fiesty with each other. They are definatly something graceful to watch swimmin in the tank and they inspect all four pieces of driftwood for anything edible and promptly remove it.

So far so good with mine.

Great shots though, i can never catch the detail or suble coloring mine have with the digi cam i use.

i wish they would stay that size
i had one locally caught after he got big i found him on the floor pretty regularly
i returned him to the river if i could catch a snall one i would give it another try
 
Here's some pics of one of my 2. Grew about an inch in the last week, these things eat like I never thought anything could. Just starting to show aggression towards one another at 3".

Down to two after work today, still not sure why.. remaining two are very active and still eating. It was slightly thinner than the others, i'll try to get a better look at it....going to be hard to tell since it looks some what processed by the other two.
