bowfin thriving

I ordered 8 from them and 2 died the next two days. Another two died another next two days even though they ate like crazy. Will eat anything that taste good to them from worms, to white cloud minnow and crushed pellets. I got 4 remaining and now at almost 3" and I got them at 1.5" just got them last week. They seems to grow fast on live black worms and I was told to do a lot of water change. I now do 50% water change twice a day. One in the morning and when at night time before I go to sleep. They all now doing great, eats a lot and grow fast. I want them to hit 8"+ so I won't have to worry too much as I was told they become very hardy at that size. It's my first time keeping them and hoping for the best as if all are dead I might have a hard time looking for them. Any poop are and left over are vacuum right away I see them as it seems they are very sensitive to slight raise of ammonia when young. So daily water change is a must at this stage to keep them going like an energizer bunny. Mine swims all the time none stop looking for food.

what ever they will eat give them that at that size...get more restrictive after they are well established and bigger...
I raised mine on freeze dried krill and Sera Arowana pellets.I drop in feeders that are intended for another fish that is in the tank and the bowfin ignores them most of the time.
