Nice pickups. Look forward to seeing it all setup.

I remember I caught one of these back when I was 12-13 and it was the COOLEST fish ever. Mine was still growing at 22", but a buddy of mine had a 36"er mounted in the baitshop nearby so beware, they DO get a little bigger than most of the info you might read......and they are quite the predator. Very very unique fish, I consider myself lucky to have been able not just to experience them in person, but in the wild even more so. Down south they are common, but up here in the NE, we don't see a lot of species despite being labelled as "Native" and these happen to be one of them. Good luck with it, pix ASAP :D I think you'll find yourself absorbed into these things in no time....such a shame they are commonly mistaken for Snakeheads and killed for no reason other than ignorance :(

I have two but from different people, so far they are fun to watch move around the tank

i have one mine is around 10 inches and still growing when i first got it it was blood worms then from there it went to brine shrimp and then mysis shrimp the mysis seems to really put the growth on them also now it readly takes the dry krill

You guys are really tempting me.I had a near ten incher that popped up in a local shop a few years ago that I got to eat floating pellets. It's kind of a shame that these fish are not more appreciated in the hobby.

mine is really active most of the day at night he tends to sleep on the bottom they get really tame and will come up to you on the side of the tank your on. mine is a male.
