I'm contemplating on taking up bowfishing. Was wondering if anyone here does. I'm not doing it for the sport since in WA the only fish you can bowfish for is carp. I was planning on using carp to feed my Cichlas :D

Any pointers? Hints? Appreciate any info.

how big of carp you try to bow?

feeding fillet carp will grease up your water....

Are carp oily/fatty fish? I know trout and cod are but not sure on carp.

Would be cool if I can do it here. in WA they consider carp an unwanted fish but not a pest. You don't even need a fishing license to fish for carp here. No daily, size or bag limit.
