:D

I hate bow fishing when I see those Gars on here its terrible I mean you cant eat it you want a trophy shot take a picture throw it back bit hard to swim away with a arrow through your head. You want carp take up carp fishing pop over and I will hook you up as it were.

They sure do look proud of themselves in that picture dont they.

Friggin idiots.

But before i get flamed. I think its fine if you want to bowhunt a few carp. For food.
I think the idiots are the ones like the guys in that picture.

Hey look at us! We can shoot giant slow moving fish in a few feet of water with bows and arrows and pile their bodies to the sky before we dump them into a shallow grave to serve no purpose at all.

I know I hate people to bowfish for the fun of it and leave the fish to rot on the banks.

I only started thinking of bowfishing as a way to feed my fish. No limit on carp too. And you know that I wouldn't make any carp go to waste or be killed in vain. I will make good use of it. It's perfect for me too now cause I have a chest freezer I can use. I mean if I ever start and get good at it I don't see myself filling a whole truck load to bring home. That is just excessive. Probbably a few coolers full is good.

I think carp is a good food to feed my fish. I mean they are pretty mch the same as goldfish and we always use those as feeders.

I saw some vids too on bowfishing and I was wondering what is the best way to "finish" off the fish if I get one. I was think a sharp blow to the head. I can see myself apologizing to ever fish I shoot, but Like I said I will not let them die in vain.

I used to carry a " B-good Stick".

14" Broom handle with a hole in the end to loop a piece of leather. Hang it on your belt.

A recurve is an excellent bow because you can snap shoot a fish. I've mostly shot compounds because it's what I've owned for other hunting.

Get a good pair of polarized glasses.

Never...NEVER tie the line directly to the back of an arrow. Look it up online. You need to rig your arrows so that the line slides to the front when you draw the arrow back and slides to the rear when you shoot. An arrow tied at the back can kill you if the loop gets around your bowstring.
