bowfront VS. standard

im going to get a 75 gallon the coming days its down to two I found on craigs list bowfront VS. regular they cast the same both ten minutes away which one should I get?


I didnt know how to start a poll so just leave your opinions and why you think that way thanks

Really all depends on what style you like better. I like bowfronts myself.

I like the regular rectangular tanks myself. Easier to observe and take pictures without distortion. And to me they just look better.

Just keep in mind how much substrate and rock you're gonna use...
A bowfront has an odd shape which imo makes the base glass less strong than a regular square base tank..
I have a 29g bowfront, had it setup for 3 weeks, was watching tv & heard a noise, didn't think anything of it.. 10 minutes later i look at the tank and well let's say 1/3 of the tank was gone. Sprung from my seat and started to empty the tank, once empty and cleaned up. I noticed a huge crack from one side to the other right down the middle... I went with the standard after that.

it also depends on what you are planning to keep in the tank. I personally like the regular tanks over bowfront.

regular it is I found one that comes with a sump for 200 dollars
