I just dont like the distortion you get from bowfronts. They look nice yes....but regular tanks for me all the way!

ok so all I have to do now is wait till the person answers my email and ill have me a 75 gallon with sump
The only time I like bowfront tanks is when they are small (less than 80 gallons) and planted. Usually planted tanks have small fish so it doesn't distort them view as much as larger fish and make nice "furniture" for inside the house. I prefer regular tanks myself and cannot stand "wave front" tanks... Your right, this would have made a great poll.
my LFS has long said that they have way more bowfront tanks come back as leakers than regular tanks. I suspect it has something to do with the silicone bond where the side panel (which is not curved) meets the curved front.
at this corner, the corners do not line up like in a regular tank. the font panel meets the side panel on an angle. not perpendicular (90 degrees) like in a rectangular tank. I belive that perhaps this seal may be more difficult to do for this reason.
