Box turtle

I think they let it go back where they found it and are too afraid to call me,but my aunt likes to tattle.Well,sounds like its an area that it may be ok as long as some abusive ppl dont find it.Oh well,thanks anyways guys,they have avoided my calls all night,I hate when family is flaky,anyone for that matter.

:chillpill: Sometimes this things happen:) Remenbar a wille ago when in one of the posts that I said I was going to get me some florida softys? Well the guy that had them, dint had the space and that promiced them to me, decided in the last minute that thouse 12inch bulders were better in he´s 100 liter tank indoors in a flat than in the 7 foot enclosure I WAS BUILDING for them:swear::angryfire:wall: go figure. Dont know how the story ended because he doesant anser my phone calls and never saw him again:screwy: Oh well all that is left for me to do is to finish it and set it up for my asians:D
 
yeah some ppl are just chickens man.At least return phone calls if you know they needs closure on something.Oh well,,,,,,,,,,,,,

What do you do about Racoons?

Thanks. They hibernate just fine where I live seeing how they are native here. I just turn up the mulch in the cage so it's nice and loose for them and they bury into it. I also dump raked leaves from my yard on top of them for extra protection.

I've only had one problem with Raccoons years ago when one killed a painted turtle of mine. My box turtles are pretty big and I doubt one would fall prey to a raccoon but I have been thinking about building a top. To keep them out as well as nosey people.
