"Box Turtles" doesnt really tell us s***. most will take a variety of greens and also some meaty stuff like mealworms and crickets. Find out what kind they are and MAYBE we can look up their yearly breeding patterns.

eastern box turtles will eat leafy greens of a lot of sorts, but need more. i feed mine 4 times a week with a variety of veggies fruits and meat. some stuff to experiment with is strawberries, peaches, potatoes, bannanas, tomatoes, kiwi, commercial turtle food, dog food, cat food, crickets, worms, meal worms, carrots, apples, corn, pumpkin, hamburger, etc etc. theese guys will eat almost anything so try everything once. they lay their eggs anywhere between march and septmber. when i had my breeding pair they layed eggs in july if that helps at all.

^^^that guy pretty much said it. Also, keep them outside if you can. Just make sure they can't dig under, push through, or climb over the fence (no chicken wire).

they are outside year round i always put in leaves to burry themselves in and they are in a sand box witch is big i will try tose foods
thnx everyone!
