styles make fights. just because fighter A beat fighter B but lost to fighter C don't automatically mean fighter B won't beat fighter C

Pac/May Jr fight didn't happen and he couldnt' fight Mosely since Mosely was setup to fight Berto at the time,.............. who else is there at 147 to fight besides Clottey? He is ranked top 5 best 147 in the world right now and dangerous to anybody and also will fill seats and get ppv buys more than any other fighter would I think. There's Paul Williams and a couple others but they are not as well known,............

Did Clottey fight anybody who is anybody? Dude, you gotta know your stuff or do some research before making an ignorant statement like that. He only lost to Margarito and Cotto. Both by dec and a DQ loss to Baldomir. All 3 guys were ranked top 10 in the divisions at the time when they fought. He beat Zab Judah, beat Diego Corrales and undefeated up and comer Shamone Alverez. Clottey is by no means a "nobody". Pac has fought dangerous fighter after dangerous fighter, we know that, and Clottey aint' no exception
Understandable.... But Zab, That guy been out the game a while. I don't think Zab is anything special anymore. Paul who? Haven't been keeping up with the boxing world, but, to me, If A fighter loses to B fighter and A fighter fights C fighter that crushed B fighter and C fighter fought nothing but heavy hitters, Then my money is on C fighter for sure. Clottey, to me hasn't fought anybody yet. 3 loses one to a UD,one to DQ and another for the Split.
Give Clottey couple more fights and see where he goes. I don't think Clotty has the speed, power or the experience to step in the ring with Pac.....

I realize HBO and everyone else who had a financial stake in the Pac-May fight must be smarting over the fact that the fight probably won't happen but putting Pac-Clottey and Mosely-Mayweather on PPV is a lame way to recoup the money. These two fights should be good but should also be on regular HBO.

i disagree, you're talking about allstars here, none of these guys will be fighting nonppv anymore (may jr, mosely and pac). their status and ppv draws puts them on that level. I think these fights are ppv worthy. i will get pac/clottey fight, not sure about may jr/mosely

Pac was afraid of Pretty Boy! Yeah I said it.

this debate has been done to death already, so i wont' start. you can argue either way, pick a side,.........

i'm still hopefull that pac/may jr will happen. I think pac and may jr will come out victorious and hopefully they can make the fight happen but i'm not confident it will happen. i don't see either guy willing to give in. pac even talks of retirement after clottey.

hopefully, if may jr/pac don't happen, pac/mosley will before pac retires

i actually think from here on out, clottey is at a plateau and his career will only decline. He has more fights left in him but when your'e pushing 40 fights, there's not much higher you can climb. I agree with your statement about Zab, but a win against him, even at this point is good on your resume.

Don't get me wrong here. I just don't think that Clottey is ready yet. By any means he can become great, but rushing in to this fight is not a good choose on Clottey's part. Give him a couple more fights...then step in the ring with Pac. But, if Clottey wins.....

But if he is pushing forty fights then how much more seasoning does he need?

Yeah, to bad Clottey hasn't fought tougher fights....but who knows. Pac has 55 fights and still in his prime. This fight is a "Learn" fight for Clottey. Clottey still has more fight in him.

I'm still of the opinion that all of these guys fights are not PPV worthy. But then again HBO shows the fight on cable a week later.

Yeah but who started the fuss about blood tests and steroid use accusations, how many excuses does a person have to make?
Oh but taking a blood test will weaken me. Lame excuse by Pac. Either he is a sissy or he has something to hide from the tests.

Maybe...maybe not.

Hold your horses guys, pac aignt afraid of Floyd. I promise you by the end of the year, the two will clash, and im gonna make another thread on who is gonna win.

The way i see it, theres alot of politics in boxing, and they are just trying to get the most out of it, to build up a hype, on the upcoming bout between the two.trust me !!!
