I always thought he was a he. Then someone said they think he is a she. Then two others said no he's a he. Then one of the others said well maybe he's a she. So now I don't know what to think.

Thanks Gregkarr that sums it up for me. I was hoping it was male, it would be easier finding a smaller female than a larger male.
I am 100% sure that is a male. Your pictures of anal doesn't help much because you are taking it from that angle is hard to tell, you need to be more vertical angle for it. But base on the full pictures its a male, and another way to find out is try to squeeze its belly downward its anal slightly and you will see a clear liquid coming out of its anal. If no liquid then its a female.
Those picture angles are no good, but it's a male. Some male have these thick tubes just like yours and owners get confused on sex. Just think of him as a dude with a very thick and meaty ding dong
He's a proven serial killer. I named the Son of Sam within a week of owning him. I wish he had some kok but that could very well be me not really being a FH pro...or him.
I still don't know who to believe (with all due respect) LOL I've had several known knowledgeable people say male and female - even before I started this thread. I have my eye on a female I'm going to try and pic up if the price is right. I'm swinging towards male, but I'm biased because that's what I want himer to be. I don't want to do the squeeze test because I never have and heard you can hurt the fish if you don't do it right. Also I've never seen any eggs at 9.5".
