flowerhorns can be too agressive towards tankmates, there are cases that if they grew up together in a much larger space they go along well like the arowanas, but there are cases they get too agressive even a pleco wont get along with them

well parrots dont count.. their like the bloods and (Flowerhorn) crips in a tank.......

Although. I HAVE seen FH co-exist with Arowana, Green Terrors and Giant Gourmi before... oh not to mention Oscars too!!... rather interesting to see

you can't be serious man...there are only a million threads out there saying a 55g is needed for an adult oscar. Some still argue a 55g is too small. So why are you trying to sell him an 8" oscar to put with his 60g???

even plecos with flowerhorns may not be good depending on your fh. one of my females torments plecos and bites off their tails. she follows them around the tank and attacks them until i take them out. my other fh are ok with plecos.
the moral is: try it, but pay close attention and be ready to remove one or both parrots. from what i have seen, fh make a big personality change when they get older. they get mean.

I had my FH in a 65 gallon and could not put anything in with it unless I wanted it killed... now I have him in a 90 with a female convict and he tolerates her.. beats her up every now and then..but she only lives because she is female...

IMO it will not work with FH.. they are a solitary fish.. If it was a bigger tank you have a better chance of it working. Good luck!

how many of u guys have kept bp with a fh? any luck? i just want to make shure cuzz i wnt to put 2 bp with a rd in a 60g 40x18x20. can they be in there for life?

no, too many fish for a 60gallon.

i have parrots in with the flowerhorn in my 100 gallon. its ok and no problem because they have the space they want so no problem. and everyone has agreed that 60 is too small for parrots and fh. so your best luck is get a bigger tank or just keep one fish in there. some people here has many years experience of keeping flowerhorns so its best to follow them in their advices for a good result.

Because anything is possible. It's all based on tank size and individual FH personality. Some are mean, some are meaner, and some are only semi aggressive. The other factor as I said is tank size. A FH can and probably will get along with other fish better in a larger tank.

JPlikewoah answered part of your question earlier. If you want to try 2 BP in your 60g with your FH go ahead. It's gonna be trial and error with your FH. It may work, or it may not work. You'll have to try it with your individual fish and see.
