Hi Catfish lovers. I've been a monster fish keeper for a while now but this is my first large catfish and that's why you've only recently started seeing me in the catfish forum. I'm counting on the experts to help me as I try to raise this guy.

I went into work late to take care of his arrival. He got here this morning and I put the bag in the 20-long Q-tank and then about every 5 minutes, I added a bit of tank water into the bag. Over the 45 minutes, when it became about 50/50 shipping water to tank water, I then put him into the tank.

At first he kept poking his head out of the water like he was trying to breathe air or something. Then he settled in and started exploring the tank (what little there is). I have two pieces of driftwood and a couple of plastic plants for now so he can take shelter.

How much and how often should I feed him?

Here's a few more pics. He's about 7" and has a split bar on one side.

Sorry about the algae on the glass...this tank was being used for some growouts and I've been leaving the light on quite a bit.

Thanks BigJ. I guess you're the only one who thinks so.

Do you other guys not like B Tigs or something? Is it because of that sudden death syndrom I've read about?

He looks awesome! You've gotta keep us updated... and take plenty of pics... he doenst seem to be very shy!

I think he looks very nice man dont matter what people think if you like him! He's going to be a real monster.
