Brackish eels and their identification

Nice eel! I saw a Gymnothorax tile on sale recently. Reportedly, the owner keeps it in water with very low levels of salinity and it's accepting food. It's spotted all through. It's one of the fish I'm considering to buy for my community tank, but I'm not sure yet, especially since all my other fish are freshwater.

You wouldn't want to keep one in freshwater. They "can" live in freshwater when they are young, but as they get older, they become almost full marine.

I'm inclined to agree, and I've found an albino swamp eel (not sure yet?) instead anyway. How's your eel doing?

Also, Nikkitine's post must be a sticky, very helpful info IMO.
